The Washington State Lottery has just added the very popular game Powerball and joining 31 other states in this multiple state numbers game.

Some say they are very pleased with this newest accommodation as they will no longer have to go to their bordering state to retrieve the chance at the huge jackpots that powerball brings to the table.

Many US lotteries draw some games, such as pick-3, at least twice daily. However, local law prohibits Washington's Lottery from drawing any of its games more than once per day. This explains why its Keno is not drawn every few minutes, unlike a growing number of US lotteries.

In April 2009, both houses of the passed a bill to allow Washington's Lottery to sell Powerball tickets, which would take effect 90 days after the signature.

Minimum age to play is 18.
